A Philadelphia corner pizza joint, that will never refer to ourselves as artisan. We are confident, not conceited.

Wood Street Story

wood street exterior.jpg

Many people who open restaurants want to serve the food they grew up on.

Dean grew up in the Logan Circle area, right behind the Franklin Institute, with a corner pizza place 30 yards from his front door—it is still around today. Although his mother had a zillion great qualities, cooking was not one of them—that pizza joint was the food he grew up on. After 35+ years in the restaurant business, Dean opened WOOD STREET in 2017. Noticing that the fast growing Loft District neighborhood was lacking a great corner pizza place, he combined his extensive food knowledge with his understanding of restaurants and built WOOD STREET. Serving Philly locals and visitors some of the best pizza and Philadelphia rooted sandwiches in the city, WOOD STREET is a Philly spot not to be missed.

Long story short...Eat here...you won’t be disappointed.
